Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Sydnrome
For anyone suffering from chronic fatigue and Fibromyalgia, there are no real quick fixes or miracles for you to get well. Here are a few simple tips that have helped me deal with CFS and have allowed me to live better by making some changes. Keeping in mind, I do not claim to be a doctor; I am just sharing what has been helping and working for me.
My CFS Journey

I will be speaking about my journey with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia on Tuesday 16th July at 7.30pm LIVE on Zoom. I would love for you to join me: https://bit.ly/footprintsretreatszoom

✔ Your diet: This means avoiding processed foods or foods high in sugars or foods high in fat and eating healthily. Avoiding too many packaged and highly processed foods. This does not mean you can or cannot have an ice cream every now and then; it does mean you have to be mindful of the way your body may respond to what you eat as this can have you crashing.

✔ Avoid caffeine and alcohol, as both can really disturb your healthy energy levels and did not fit in well with me. Eating natural food; this does not mean that you have to go vegan, as it is something I did try for 14 months. However, I have cut out red meat, only having it may be once a week, if at all. I do eat chicken and fish but no eggs. My diet has lots of greens, and I am always drinking lemon water and celery juice early every morning. Having fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, more organic and a whole food plant-based diet. This all helps me with recovery, inflammation, or not feeling sluggish, my gut health, and digestion. For some time I did try intermittent fasting, but I did not find that it helped me, and now i do my own version of it when eat from 10 am to about 6 pm . Some people like to interrupt their diet by juice cleansing for 24 hours. This can be done every 3 to 4 months. I have tried it, and this can help clear and improve gut health.

✔ One of the most important things was to get quality sleep and aim to put yourself in a parasympathetic state more than for you to be in a flight or fight mode. This will help the healing process, and some of the things I regularly incorporate into the day are using simple and easy techniques, anything that will and could override my central nervous system and reset my vagus nerve.

✔ The final thing I enjoy incorporating into my daily habits is doing breathwork, having cold showers, improving my mobility and strength, the overall wellness to deal with inflammation and CFS.

✔ This process is all about improving your overall health and wellness and could mean you organizing your day around your cortisol levels. This, too, allows me to be most active when the levels are at their highest.

I have also looked in to Bio Hacking not only with my diet but in a more over all in-depth view of the Mind and body connection, which is some thing I am looking in to more and more.

Have a great day and best wishes,
Maydad"💪😀❤
